Does QuadNet offer unlimited Dial-Up Accounts?

YES. You will always be billed a flat rate regardless of how many times you log on to the Internet, how long you stay on, or how much data you upload or download. We limit your account, however, to only one simultaneous login per account.

Can I get a discount if I pre-pay for a year of service instead of paying every month?

Yes. QuadNet offers Flat Rate billing plans on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis, and you will save more on your average monthly rate if you prepay for a longer period of time.

What do I do if I have a technical problem or a question?

Attention QuadNet Customers

Addressing Virus and Spam Problems: In response to numerous requests by our customers, we have installed an Antivirus and Spam Filter. It is successfully filtering most spam mail from reaching our customer's mail boxes.. You should see a reduction in spam messages now. We can not totally stop spam without stopping some of the legitimate email due to the nature of email. The filtering methods and techniques that we use are as follows: We DO NOT filter any outgoing mail. All Quadnet Customers who were allowed to send their mail through our Mail Server, will continue to do so without any changes.

We block incoming mail from known spamming DOMAINS. These messages are being dropped.

We block incoming mail from senders whose return E-Mail Address does not exist. These messages are being dropped.

We block incoming mail where the recipient's name is blank. These messages are being returned to sender.

We use a heuristic engine to find spam. We mark it as 'Probable Spam' in the subject line. This way you can make a message rule to either delete or move the message by keywords

We block incoming mail based on certain offensive words, keywords, phrases. These messages are being dropped. or sent without attachment.

We block incoming mail based on file content (ex. .vbs, .exe, .bat.) These messages are being dropped or sent without attachment. Please request files be Zipped when sending files of this nature

05/13/2004 - A new Mail Server will be in place tomorrow. Cut over to the new mail server will be 05/14/2004 at 3:00 pm. All customers need to alter their username to gain access to their email on the new mail server.
Customers will be prompted for their username when accessing the new mail server. Customers need to add '@domainname.com' to their username, where '@domainname.com' is the last part of their email address. If you have any problems accessing your email, please call 1.800.320.2422.
05/10/2004 - The web server will be restarted for routine maintenance on 05/112004 at 12:00 AM. Down time will approximately 10 minutes. Disruption of service should be minimal if you are accessing our webpages or are hosted on our webserver.
03/09/2003 - To continue to provide you with the best level of quality, service, and performance possible, please be advised of the following scheduled maintenance to be conducted during a standard vendor maintenance window on Tuesday March 9th from 2am until 5am.

- There seems to be a virus going around that looks like it is from management@quadnet.net. These messages contained a viral file that was cleaned by our antivirus server. These messages are being sent without the attachment. A text file (deleted0.txt) is attached with the explanation.
A Reminder: Please do not give out any account information as we will never ask for it in an email.

03/03/2004 - We have built a new Windows 2000 Mail Server that is processing mail rapidly. All mail that was queued on our mail gateway was processed yesterday. 18,000 queued emails were accepted and sent out within 20 minutes. These emails were done processing at around 5 pm last night.
03/02/2004 - The mail server is experiencing problems and has been off line for maintenance and upgrade. All INCOMING e-mail is being collected and will be delivered to recipients.
02/06/2004 - The mydoom virus has hit the East coast states and is affecting all mail servers. Our mail server is slowly processing all email. Waiting time is between one to three hours.
